The Data team develops infrastructure, statistical models, and products using IoT data. Our Scientists and Engineers work together to make data—and insights derived from data—a core asset across the company. What you'll do
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for acting on tools and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life-cycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates, for our Internal Developer Platform (IDP), built by a platform team to build golden paths and enable developer self-service. The right candidate will also be a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain robust and reliable infrastructures that enables rapid and continuous delivery of software applications
Apply DevOps engineering practices that will generate security, speed, and quality on software deliveries
Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools
Diagnose complex problems that affect the performance of our solutions
Ensure reliability and scalability of our product
Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and perform hands-on development
Perform technical design and code reviews to maintain high-quality and secure software
Prepare technical project documentation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
+5 years experience with container orchestration (AWS ECS and others)
Advanced level on any of the scripting languages: Python, Bash, etc
Experience in Continuous Delivery & Continuous Integration (Github Actions)
Prior exposure to IaC Infrastructure as a Code using Terraform
Cloud Computing proximity (AWS)
Contact with observability tools, such as Grafana, Datadog, AWS Cloudwatch
Expertise with Scylla, Cassandra and/or Kafka
Microservices environments in a Kubernetes ecosystem
