The High Thrust TEFC Low Voltage Motor (VHTP) is a vertical hollow shaft, three-phase AC motor designed for applications requiring high thrust, such as deep well pumps and vertical turbine pumps. It operates at 230/460V and is suitable for partial winding start at 230V. The motor features a totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) design, cast iron frame and end brackets, and a 1045 hollow carbon steel shaft for enhanced strength. Certified for hazardous locations (Class I, Div. 2, Groups B, C, D), it includes inverter duty capability per NEMA MG-1 Part 31, space heaters, and a drip/splash cover. The oversized, fully gasketed main conduit box is rotatable for flexible installation. Bearings are designed for both grease and oil lubrication, with mounting provisions for bearing RTDs and insulated housings in larger frames. The motor is engineered for reliable operation in demanding vertical applications, offering robust construction and advanced protection features.
