Teco-Westinghouse - Low Voltage High Thrust Vertical Hollow Shaft Motor (WPI)

This low voltage high thrust vertical hollow shaft motor is designed for demanding industrial applications requiring high thrust and reliability. Featuring a 'P' base, it operates on three-phase, 60 Hz power with a 1.15 service factor for continuous duty. The motor is inverter duty rated per NEMA MG-1 Part 31 and includes a dual column design nameplate for both 60/50 Hz operation. Key construction features include a cast iron frame and end brackets, a 1045 hollow carbon steel shaft, and an aluminum die cast or copper alloy squirrel cage rotor depending on frame size. The oversized, fully gasketed main conduit box is rotatable, and the motor is equipped with space heaters, guide and thrust bearings, and a phenolic rust-proof paint system. Suitable for use in environments up to 40°C and 3300 ft. elevation, this motor is ideal for vertical pump and similar high thrust applications.
