Data Science at TRACTIAN

The Data organization develops infrastructure, statistical models, and products using IoT data. Our Scientists and Engineers work together to make data—and insights derived from data—a core asset across the company. Our work is ingrained in Tractian’s decision-making process, in the efficiency of our operations and insights, and in the industry-leading experience we provide our consumers.


What you'll do

In the Senior Data Scientist role, your primary responsibility will be to delve deep into complex datasets, using your advanced analytical skills to uncover insights, develop predictive models, and provide data-driven solutions. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing our product offerings and improving business strategies through rigorous data analysis and model development.

Responsibilities

Develop sophisticated statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze complex datasets.

Extract and interpret data to identify patterns, trends, and relationships.

Perform data preprocessing, cleansing, and analysis to ensure data quality.

Implement predictive models and conduct A/B testing for continuous improvement.

Utilize advanced analytics techniques to solve specific business problems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science methodologies into various business processes.

Present complex data findings in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in data science, focusing on statistical modeling and machine learning.

Strong proficiency in data science programming languages (Python, C++) and SQL.

In-depth knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.

Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively.

Bonus Points

Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Publications in relevant scientific journals or conferences.

Fluent in English.
