As part of this team, you will be in contact with clients to understand their needs and help create solutions to improve their maintenance processes.


What you'll do

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing and optimizing technical proposals to ensure alignment with the company’s capabilities and technical requirements, supporting the proper field installation and system integration. You will manage the implementation process, including the integration of sensors, PLCs, and frequency inverters, ensuring that the solutions are robust, scalable, and meet client demands. Additionally, you will oversee the go-live phase, validate system functionality, and provide post-implementation technical support.

Responsibilities

Review and adjust technical proposals developed by the Sales team, ensuring they align with the company's capabilities and the required technical specifications, thereby supporting the technical implementation and correct field installation;

Verify the compatibility of system integrations (sensors, PLCs, Frequency Inverters, etc.) within the client’s environment, ensuring that the solutions are robust and scalable;

Participate in client meetings to better understand their demands and translate these needs into viable technical solutions;

Manage the implementation schedule, ensuring that the stages are completed within the established deadlines and that the system functions properly;

Supervise the application and go-live phase of the implemented systems, validating the correct functioning of sensors, PLCs, and monitoring systems;

Work closely with the Data Science, Hardware, and Platform teams to develop, optimize, and implement features that add value to the solutions;

Provide post-implementation technical support, helping to resolve technical issues or make adjustments when necessary;

Collaborate with other teams in the company, such as Technical Support and Product Engineering, to ensure that the developed solutions are aligned with the company's capabilities and innovations;

Help identify opportunities for upsell or additional improvements in projects, based on technical understanding and customer feedback.

Requirements

+5 Years of Industrial Experience, preferably with a background in Industrial Automation and Project Management;

Familiarity with handling and programming (Ladder Logic) various PLC brands (Siemens, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, etc.);

Experience with SCADA, DCS, or other supervisory and control systems;

Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, EtherNet/IP, Profibus, or OPC UA for sensor and controller integration;

Experience with instrumentation and sensor sizing (level, pressure, flow, humidity, etc.);

Ability to work with measurement and control systems for electrical and mechanical variables;

Willingness to travel to client plants and ability to conduct technical demonstration meetings;

Managing technical projects (scope, implementation schedule, technical sizing, and structural review) alongside the Sales team;

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with exceptional ability to present solutions to complex problems.
